The past, present and future of Wiveliscombe Town Hall
Wiveliscombe Town Hall should be one of the most prominent buildings in the town, and yet it has lain empty for nearly 60 years. Its origins give a direct link to an international banking dynasty, it has connections to the abolition of the slave trade, it is remembered for its parties and films. But what of its future? Will it continue to slowly decay; abandoned and unloved with just a memory of what it once was? Or does it have a brighter future when the doors will open once again to music, laughter and dance?
