About
Ashbrittle Arts began in the run-up to the Millennium, with a spectacular celebration of our ancient Yew tree. Other major projects include the Millennium village book, Ashbrittle - Who, What, When, Where, and the Sacred Land Project
We aim to:
- promote a wide range of Arts activities – performances; exhibitions; participative, professional and community events; catering for all ages, incomes and tastes
- increase access to participation in all activities to residents within the four local parishes in this deeply rural area on the border of Somerset and Devon
- keep alive local community traditions and encourage the celebration of important annual events in the rural calendar
- build relationships with other arts organisations e.g. Take Art and other groups within the community such as the primary and secondary schools, the church, the youth club
Membership of the group is open to anyone who shares our aims
