About
The High Park Music Project offers children from within the 10 Parishes of Wiveliscombe in Somerset an affordable opportunity to Learn to play Clarinet Flute or Saxophone in a band. For a weekly donation of £2 per child they can come to one of the sessions that are run on Saturday mornings during term time. This includes an instrument provided by High Park – raised by local funding.
High Park Music Project meets at the Silver Street Center on Golden hill in the center of Wiveliscombe.
Youngsters from years 3/4 upwards into secondary school are able to join with a new intake of children every September when there will be a ‘try out’ session at the beginning of the Term.
Children who already play an instrument are also welcome to join High Park and can join a higher level group .
High Park often play at concerts and at local events in the area – please check out Facebook page to see more.
It is the inspiration of professional teachers, Hilary Wickham and Charlotte Stus of the Royal Marine Band who have a wealth of musical experience between them. They share a passionate belief that every child should have the opportunity to access music.
All teachers are DBS checked.
