Welcome!  Plain Pond allotments is a small, friendly site in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, which has been owned by the Town Council since 1982.

The plots can be rented by residents of Wiveliscombe and the surrounding area, and there are fine views the surrounding countryside. There are 46 plots in a range of different sizes - full, half and quarter plots, plus 6 waist-high raised beds for those with less flexibility, and our aim is to get as many people growing some of their own food as possible.  2024 rental for a full plot is only £31 going down to £8 for a raised bed.

We have a wildlife area with fruit trees and a pond for use by all plotholders for relaxation and contemplation.  We also run various fun days to learn about subjects such as pruning and hedge laying
