The Wiveliscombe Town Band is a brass band that has been in operation since 1896, currently led by our conductor Charlotte Stus.

Despite the old heritage of Wiveliscombe's premier musical ensemble, we've been known to perform a huge variety of music, spanning from traditional hymns, to musical theatre, to Doctor Who soundtracks!

We welcome players of any age and skill level, and can provide instruments and tuition free of charge; No subs are required for membership, but donations are appreciated!

The learner band, main band, and drum line meet every Monday in the Silver Street Centre in Wiveliscombe, from 6.30 - 8.30pm.

The Training Band is suitable for people of ages 1-100, who wish to learn a brass instrument. As stated, we will provide free instruments and tuition every week. Members of the training band will have the opportunity to perform alongside the main band at many gigs, and when ready, may move up to the main band itself.

Our percussion collection is ever growing, currently including a full kit and many individual drums and cymbals. The drum line plays with the main band at every gig, and at our bigger events such as Summer concerts, opportunities for drum kit solos often arise!
